This is my second time round (using the 3 meals a day with meat option) and since I forgot to submit my first review two years ago I found it lurking here...
So, first review:
Bought with the Fast800 book. Read that then followed these recipes exactly, reached my target weight in 14 days (ie lost 10.5 lbs.) The recipes work well for that and calorie measurements for each one really useful. My 'But...' is because a) Not made clear that quantities often not for one person, so had to re-measure a lot b) Recipes look different but are often samey c) Best to buy the more exotic ingredients before you begin (they do advise this, but I missed that) as when you're into your initial 14 days you will be in no mood to hunt down hot paprika, smoked peppers etc etc.
Second review: I'm using it to lose weight post-Xmas, as it works a treat. The recipes do not leave you feeling hungry except on the third day. However... it is (in my view) essential to buy ALL the ingredients for EVERY reciped you'll be using before starting, except the fresh one's like broccoli. If you're working, whether at home or not, it's best to cook in advance and freeze, so each day the preparation is virtually nil. It's true the portion are for 2 or 4 sometimes and I'm just one. So... I cook them as listed and then freeze the resulting extra portions. Then I use these as substitutes as I go along, saving time and money. I also substitute ingredients (eg yoghurt fior creme fraiche) because otherwise I end up with something I won't use soon again. The two stars is because of the above and also too many of the recipes (as other reviews have noted) are either tasteless (the stews); need experience (anything with beans, do NOT buy standard cheap tins, go for Biona type in-water-only beans without the firming agent - much nicer); take too long to prepare; or are disgusting (cold breakfast porridge, fry up including broccili, yuk yuk). So 5 stars for a quick 14 day 3 meals a day weight loss method and education course in healthy eating but a miserable 2* for practicality, lask of clarity and taste.
