A young bookshop owner discovers a pair of mysterious books that sets her off on a chain of investigation to uncover the anonymous authors and what became of them. Well written and researched, I enjoyed this dual time line book until about halfway when the story got a bit bogged down in introspection. I'm afraid the neatly tied up ending was rather too saccharine for my taste.
