Wow! Amanda Prowse gets better with every book she writes and this one is an epic tale of two people, Emma and Thurston. Emma is a busy mum with three kids, an ailing mum and her best friend Roz. Like any busy household life is chaotic, and bombshells come out of nowhere. She is on her way to work one evening when the road is blocked by a parked truck. The driver is Thurston, 80 years of age and struggling to come to terms with the death of his wife of 62 years. A very unlikely friendship blossoms from this chance encounter.

The book has many layers, many interwoven stories. The characters are all so real I feel as if I know them and I have laughed and cried with them as their story unfolds.

It’s a must-read for every fan of family drama.
