This story was well written but it was a bit too long filled with trivia. Also the title was confusing and the story was not quite what I expected.
Thom’s reason for disappearing from Garland’s life several years earlier was poor, particularly if he believed he had feelings for her then. But then I didn’t feel that there was much evidence of romance between any of the couples and not a lot of time spent on exploring their relationships. I’m not generally a fan of dual time frame stories but I thought this one was handled in a way that I found interesting not irritating as I find some others.
Overall, I enjoyed the story, the characters I liked best were peripheral mainly, Willfric was fun and Golightly and Jasper entertaining, but I didn’t feel drawn to the others to the extent that I was invested in the outcome.
