Whilst not a pleasant subject writing about the Holocaust, the author took a completely different slant on what was obviously a brutal & horrendous time by focusing on the two main characters who were completely unknown to each other before their medical training & background threw them together in a concentration camp. Wonderfully written & I now have a new author (well new to me) to follow in the future. I definitely recommend this book to keep alive in people’s minds what happened in those vile & atrocious concentration camps.
