I purchased this watch to try and keep myself motivated/moving after having my 3rd child. During these lockdown, though I do fitness classes, I don’t feel I am walking as much as with previous children, due to not being able to go anywhere!
Pro’s - The green colour is just gorgeous, the watch is comfy and the screen is very clear and easy to navigate. Great price, even for a non-fitness watch.
Cons - despite a lot of the q&a’s saying it tracks steps when pushing a pram, mine has not. Annoying as this was the primary reason for the purchase. It also does not seem to count steps when in fitness mode either .... again, rather annoying given I do a ‘step’ based class for exercise!
The ‘wrist movement’ to light up the face is not as intuitive as I had hoped and more often then not, after flinging my arm around for a few seconds, end up pressing the button to activate the screen. Again, not earth ending stuff, but does mean I can’t quickly check the time when holding my baby as I need a free hand to press the side button.
I have not been able to get the watch to notify me of any messages, as yet, however I have just changed some settings as suggested in other reviews so this may well be fixed now.
Verdict - I’ll be keeping this watch as on the whole, I really like it. It appears a lot of fitness watches have trouble recording steps whilst pushing prams so I don’t feel I’d be much better off swapping it for something else .... I guess I’ll just have to do some non-buggy walking to reach those targets!
I don’t massively need my watch to notify me of messages, so again if this doesn’t work, it’s not of any real importance.
For the price, it does what I expect and am happy with that. Anything else is a bonus!
