I fell in love with Sloane and Xavier almost instantly. This book has some of my favourite tropes ever and I have literally finished it in one sitting.

Sloane has this tough exterior and needs to have control over everything and once we see why this is and we get her backstory my heart hurt for her. She’s hardworking and so far has been immune to Xavier’s charms but that all changes and she’s starting to see him in a different light while also letting her guard down to him too. I love how she took everything head on, whatever the challenge or set back she doesn’t let it get to her.

Xavier was perfect! I am a huge lover of the grumpy girl x sunshine boy trope and he was the sweetest. He stole my heart immediately. He does anything for anyone, is all charms and he fell so hard for Sloane and I liked how he just went for what he wanted, and how he helped Sloane to let go and enjoy life. They had the best banter, he spoiled her and got beneath her tough exterior and they were so beautiful together.

My favourite thing about this book is that both Sloane and Xavier have had similar experiences. There is the theme of loss, fear of rejection and wariness of love, but it also shows the beauty of opening up to someone and that comfort they provide.

I adore Anas writing style, I was fully immersed and as always, loved seeing people from the previous books too. There are a few hints at who the next books could be about and I am so intrigued! I am excited for Vuk as I felt so drawn to his story. Another amazing addition to this series x
