Enjoyed this a lot, and looking forward to TV adaptation. Interesting premise (obviously been well used before elsewhere), used to good effect. Direct writing style with great pacing ( though I wish he wouldn’t use “slam” so much -who “slams awake” !). I read a lot of “heavier” sci-fi and fantasy and this does feel a bit of a guilty pleasure (makes me think of Dan Brown) - shouldn’t like it cos it’s too mainstream in style, but oops, can’t put it down. Will certainly investigate other titles by same author
