I've grown up reading Marian Keyes' books since Watermelon first came out in 1995, and have always devoured them, particularly the stories about the Walshes. I absolutely hate chicklit these days but make an absolute exception for Marian's books as they feel like old friends you're reconnecting with. In the same way Jilly Cooper's Rupert Campbell-Black stories take you on a riotous journey through old and new characters and past and present shenanigans, my Favourite Mistake is a heart-warming story about family, love, friendships, heartbreak, loss and above all hope. And I also loved the inclusion of Anna's menopause struggles which I can totally relate to! I really hope there'll be future books with Claire or Helen back or even some of the offspring as the main characters.
