I love Karin Slaughter as a writer. I’ve read almost all her books in every series
The will Trent collection has always been a favourite as was the Grant County
After that night is, as always, we’ll written with fine details and imagery that make the reader feel involved in the story.
A lot of the narrative has links to other books outside of the Will Trent collection which brings a sense of familiarity but also feels a tad stereotypical and not ‘fresh’
I loved the book and the way it explained the origins of Sara’s traumatic rape but found the storyline very predictable. I knew who the key player was almost from the onset and the ending was not as gripping as other books have been.
Overall, a good read but not as exciting as other books in the series or other books that I have read by KS. Time for Will & Sara to get married and have their happy ever after. Jeremy’s journey could be the basis for an exciting brand new collection
